  1. Any word if Fists of Iron will get a DVD/Blu-ray release in the US? Also is there a release date for The Butterfly Guard?   ~   Chris Kacvinsky
    Hi Chris,

I haven't hear of any blu-ray releases planned for Fist of Iron. But with technology going where it is, I am sure some of those first films I did will find their way to hide.

As for Butterfly Guard, I am hoping to see it at least start festivals and general release by late in the year. We are all happy with the way it is coming out and even another martial arts based project to follow.

  2. Have you got any current/upcoming projects that you would like to tell us about?   ~   StarsQA Team
A few coming up. I have spent the last two years walking a fairly experimental line with filmmaking this has involved my trying to challenge my own art and process of filmmaking. Working on smaller budgets to maintain more creative control and forefitting larger budgets and pay checks. But this year I think they are starting to fuse (thankfully). Though the upcoming ones I can't comment on at this point a few in post will be touring fests and releasing in limited theatrical. Projects Luke seeking Dolly Parton, the Butterfly Guard and finally Bring Me the Head of Lance Henriksen. But watch the Grizzly Peak Films blog post and YouTube channel for more news!

  3. Are you a nervous flyer or a calm one?   ~   StarsQA Team
Calm. But again that is part of my life-training. You hit face first enough you get less nervous. Though I do have a lot of "nervous energy" but is more rooted in excitement and ambition than nerves.

  4. If you could reinvent a movie theatre snack, what would it be?   ~   StarsQA Team
Reinvent one? Hmmmm. That's a new one. I guess popcorn. I think it's pretty close to perfect now but with Brewers yeast and no oil, it can be pretty tasty and healthy.

  5. Would you rather be rich with no friends, or poor with many friends?   ~   StarsQA Team
There is no doubt the latter. As a kid who knows what I would have said, but life has taught me the importance of friends in our life.

  6. Who is your favourite author and book they have written?   ~   StarsQA Team
I was much more if a fiction reader as s kid as over the last decade or so have become obsessed with more non fiction around film, art, Heath and history. But I can tell you I have read ever single Tarzan novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs. And as a teen went through a binge of Robert Mccammon and Stephen King. If I was to pick a single novel that had a big impression on me as a kid, it was Way if the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman.

  7. If you could only have one of these, which one would you choose: sight or hearing?   ~   StarsQA Team
That question always scared the hell out of me but I think I always land on sight. Visuals are really important to me I guess.

  8. Sweet or savory?   ~   StarsQA Team
Savory (not a huge sweet tooth).

  9. Vampire or werewolf?   ~   StarsQA Team
    Werewolf (I'm too primal).

  10. Summer or winter?   ~   StarsQA Team
