  1. How do you prepare for auditions?   ~   StarsQA Team
I haven't had an audition in a long time, but when I did, practice was the biggest. Just making sure that I knew the music or scene well enough that it was like second nature to me. If I do an acting audition, or a music audition that includes material I don't get to practice ahead of time, I try to focus on the story of the scene, or song, and get into character, so that I can focus on the meaning more than worry about individual lines.

  2. Hi Brittany! Which Artists have been the major influences in your music career? #BEXTIES   ~   Nashville Buckeye (@JimKorpita)
I have SO many influences! I grew up listening to Oldies and Motown with my parents, which had a huge impact! I love the big voices, and catchy exciting soulful melodies. Love Aretha Franklin, and the old Rockers. As I got older, I was greatly influenced by artists like Jewel, Train, Third Eye Blind, GooGoo Dolls, Shawn Colvin, Sarah Maclaughlin, Switchfoot, Lifehouse, five for fighting! I have also always loved Jazz and blues, and loved Patsy Cline (yes I know she's country but I didn't realize this until I was older), Ella Fitzgerald, and Billie Holiday, also Bonnie Raitt. Later in life I was inspired by Reba McEntire, Martina McBride, Trisha Yearwood, Sara Evans, and Brooks and Dunn. As you can see, I have a broad spectrum of influence, from Motown, and Jazz, to rock and Christian!

  3. Brittany, if you could duet with anyone, dead or alive who would it be?   ~   Brian Manke
If I could duet with anyone, dead or alive... That's tough... I'm picking 3! Haha! Sorry, too much good music for one choice! Dead - Patsy Cline, and Judy Garland! Both amazing singers, both very different. But both women and voices are full of soul. Alive: I love Ronnie Dunn's voice, and would love to do a duet with him. Garth Brooks I think would be awesomely fun. Reba, a powerhouse. But, I would love to do a duet with Patrick Monohan from Train also! Most of the older alternative rock guys, I would love, because that would be like going back to childhood!

  4. What made you get into your profession???   ~   naturalborn
I was basically born singing. Singing and performing is the one thing I've always wanted to do. It was just in my heart. It made sense to me the way berthing does. I was the kid that was constantly humming or singing without even realizing it. It's just part of who I am.
