StarsQA has been online for 5 years, so we were wondering what has been your favorite career highlight from the past 5 years? ~ StarsQA Team
Oh wow! This is undoubtedly, my short film, Evil Rising! I wrote the feature when I was just 14 and was able to make the short version when I moved to the NYC region and met other talented creatives and together we made my baby. It's been a wild ride and this has opened up so many doors for me! Several wins in festivals for best actress and best film, and several more nominations. I have also been nominated for several awards for my feature script of the same title and even won a screen writing competition in the Westfield Screenwriting competition. I secured management, and have gotten several parts in features yet to film. I've also expanded my network exponentially and am forever grateful for everything that it has brought my way. It's in the tail of the festival circuit now, and I look forward to what else it brings to me and my exciting future.
How do you prepare for auditions? ~ StarsQA Team
Hey there! Thanks for the question!
The way I prepare for auditions depends on what kind of role I audition for. If it's only a couple lines, I usually just memorize them, tape it (or go into the room, but taped auditions are a lot more common now), then go on my merry way.
If it's a juicier part or more intense, I usually make a playlist for the character to really understand them or listen to music that reminds me of them while I read over and memorize the sides/material. Then, the same thing. Tape it (or go into the room) then go on my merry way. I try not to focus too much on things once I'm done with the audition.
What's your ultimate dream vacation spot? ~ StarsQA Team

If you could be any superhero's sidekick for a day, who would it be? ~ StarsQA Team

I have no idea
If you could have picked your birthday to be on a national holiday before you were born, which one would it be? ~ StarsQA Team
I was born on the first national Pooh friendship day, what else more can I want?!! lol
Have you got any current/upcoming projects that you would like to tell us about? ~ StarsQA Team
Oh, so many! Yay! I'm still working on getting my webseries, Wicked Sisters, off the ground. There's the Charlotte, North Carolina 48 Hour Film Fest on August 7th-9th. I'll be writing and acting in that. There's another project in North Carolina that's in early development. I'd be playing a bass player and also get to swing around an axe. Fun, fun. There's another webseries that's set for filming in September where I play a creepy mail girl in a PR Office. And, then there's another webseries in EARLY, EARLY development that's about Disney characters in group therapy. It's looking like I'll be playing either the Evil Queen from Snow White, the mirror from Snow White, Mother Gothel from Tangled, or Maleficent from Sleepy Beauty. Maybe Belle from Beauty and the Beast.
What has been your favourite moment of this year so far? ~ StarsQA Team
Probably being on the set of my first New York project. A short film about a woman named Gina (myself) coming out as a SERIAL KILLER to her best friend, Kay (played by the wonderful Kristen Carbone). It was so much fun. We filmed in Prospect Park in Brooklyn, New York. It was so much fun and I enjoyed it so much.
What is the strangest food you have ever eaten, what did it taste like and did you like it? ~ StarsQA Team
That would be deer. I had deer chilli. It was good! It tasted exactly like beef, just with a slightly more...rusty taste. I liked it....until I found out that I had eaten Bambi. Then, I was horrified.
How would you explain colour to a blind person? ~ StarsQA Team
Oh, this is difficult because it depends on if they were born blind, or if they went blind later on. I honestly don't know how I would explain color. I may be a writer on the side, but....I don't know how to do words.
